Proper tattoo aftercare is essential for keep traditional tattoos bold and clean. Follow these instructions:
Keep the initial bandage on for a minimum of 4 hours, ideally overnight or up to 24 hours.Â
Wash the tattoo immediately after removing the bandage with warm water and a mild antibacterial hand soap, like Dial Gold
Let the tattoo air dry or pat it dry with a clean paper towel
Apply a small amount of a moisturizing lotion like lubriderm, make sure its fragrance free!
Keep the tattoo clean and moisturized until healed, usually within a week or two.
Keep your new tattoo out of the sun, and no submurging underwater. No baths, hot tubs, swimming pools, natural bodies of water until fully healed!
